The DAMN GOOD Easy Spicy Margarita Recipe
Easy DAMN GOOD Spicy Margarita
Ingredients
- Kosher salt (fine)
- Ice cubes
- 2 oz (good quality) Tequila
- 1 oz Triple sec
- 1/2 Lime, seeded and juiced
- 1/2 Tablespoon agave nectar
- 1/4 to 1/2 Jalapeño pepper, cut into thin, round slices (use more for additional kick and spice)
- Splash of OJ, freshly squeezed
- 1 lime, cut into wedges (garnish)
- Cilantro (garnish)
Instructions
- Rim the glass: Pour a thin layer of salt onto a small plate. Take a lime wedge and coat the rim of a rocks glass to moisten it. Then dip the rim of the glass in the salt, rotating until coated. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
- Make the spicy margarita with jalapeño: Fill a cocktail shaker half way with ice cubes. Add tequila, triple sec, lime juice, agave nectar, jalapeño slices and a splash of orange juice. Close tightly and shake (like HELL) vigorously until the outside of the metal shaker becomes foggy or frosty. Strain into the iced salt rimmed glass. Garnish with lime wedges, jalapeño slices and cilantro (if you want to get extra jazzy) and serve.
- Cheers!
